Girls Night Out

I got invited to tent in a field with some friends to view the Supermoon on Saturday night.   It was simple and easy.  She asked everyone to bring something - beverages, snacks, or breakfast foods. It was a bit cloudy but the moon still put on a fantastic show.   We built a fire and chatted and roasted marshmallows.  Eventually we retired to our tents and then rose at sunrise to share a communal breakfast.

Being in the company of women, sleeping under the stars, sharing a simple meal.  Sometimes life is just perfect.

    2. I haven't. Had a close call when I was about 6. No doubt getting together with women, yum. Hmmm

    3. Well, I highly recommend it. Not in a campground where you get a small, overused space crammed in with other campers. But out in the wild somewhere - far from lights and people. You won't believe the starry sky and how peaceful being away from civilization can be.

    4. If (big IF) I could get beyond the (ok, imagined terror) of "the wild" and "away from civilation" I may be able to relax enough and drink it all in. I would really want to. Perhaps the company could help with that. There isn't any (or very little) chance the opportunity will present itself. IF it does . . .

    1. That was exactly the feeling. I was with quite a few women I didn't know, which is usually hard for me. But this was such an impromptu gathering and so relaxed. I could definitely use more nights like this in my life.

Wish I could have been there. I needed to get away from myself. Glad you were able to get out and enjoy it.

    1. I wish you could have been there too! But funny, I think of nights like this as getting away from everyone else, and spending quality time with myself - something I need to do more often.
