- Doing a winter check of our lake house and finding no burst pipes and no leaks and everything in good order.
- Getting badly bruised, but no broken bones, when I wiped out hard trying to push Martha’s car, which could not get any traction on the ice covered lake road.
- AAA who finally came and winched the car up the hill.
- Surviving a 45 minute knuckle surgery done with just a local anesthesia. And now I have penis finger.
- Game changer.
- I typed this yesterday while my hand was still numb. Now it's morning and I can feel the pain. I am adding being very grateful for hydrocodone.
As a rule, I am not a fan of hybrid flavors of my favorite things (Lay's Biscuits and Gravy) but Oreo (so far) has done no wrong. And . . well, boo hiss must not obsess over cookies. ;-)
ReplyDeleteBummer about the finger. Yay for no burst pipes and otherwise good condition.
Yay for cooki... pain meds. :-)
My favorite was when they did coffee/mocha cookies but they unfortunately didn't last. I had to drown my sorrows in double stuffs. Coming out next: filled cupcake Oreos. This is not a drill.
DeleteYou have quite a puppet finger - hope it heals quickly. I bet those are good with coffee! Sounds like you need a bit of rest :)
ReplyDeleteIt has stopped throbbing so I assume healing is going well under the massive bandage. Trying to do things like tie my shoes has been interesting.
DeleteKind of a mixed bag today, eh? Lol.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that the finger is healing. That sounds excruciating. Yay for chemistry! I trust that the fall on the ice was before the knuckle surgery... hope so!
Time for you to chill out and rest the finger and the bruises and have a cookie. Oreo has been getting pretty adventurous of late -- maybe you should be an official tester for them!
Xoxoxo, dear 8!
The shots for the local anesthesia were the worst of it. And now, because I am such a klutz, I keep slamming it into things which brings tears to my eyes.
DeleteI think you have hit on a great retirement career! I am sending my resume to Oreo now.
They haven't done Nutella yet, so they OBVIOUSLY need you. Just sayin'.
Deletemay i add to your oreo cinnamon bun: trader joe's chocolate croissants in the frozen food section. OMG.
ReplyDeletehope that finger feels fine xoxo
love

Fortunately Trader Joe's is not around the corner from me because chocolate croissants could be very dangerous to my health. However, I feel a road trip coming on . . .
DeleteOuch! Hope it heals quickly.
ReplyDeleteThanks, it's doing better every day.
