Full of Grace

I know this holiday will be especially difficult for some people.  I, myself, will be heading into redneck country. But as Maya Angelou said “We are more alike, my friends, than we are unalike.”  My wish is that, no matter what our differences, we can all find something especially beautiful and loving to be grateful for. . . . and then get out before it blows.

Happy giving thanks day.

  1. I'm pretty sure I'll be spending the holiday with family members who share a political perspective. I guess I will be grateful for that. Instead, I have a brother who is not handling life well right now and I'm not sure if he is coming to dinner or not. We'll see.

Whether it's the holiday or just navigating in the world, we all need to hold on tight to those things for which we are grateful. Good luck on your turkey day, 8, and yes, I hope you get out before it blows.

  2. I know I shall be spending the day with folks who agree with me about most things. Th most important: no political talk on this day--even if we do agree. :-)

May your day be filled mostly with peace, love, amazing edibles, and
    a, "before it blows" exit.

    Happy T (for together) day!!

  3. We are hunkering down at home, just the two of us, and avoiding ALL family and friend obligations and definitely NOT going to interact with the world for the day. It's been a really tough couple of weeks so that bit of self care was paramount. Happy happy giving thanks day and I want to tell you how incredibly thankful *I* am for your light in the world - it's always such a comfort to read your musings here and you are, indeed, a light in my life and the wider world. So thanks be to you.

  6. so i'm reading this thanksgiving night. i was pleased to learn that my trump supporting family member didn't vote for him, didn't vote at all but i appreciated knowing we were less apart than before.

brian Andreas always fascinates me. i don't really like his art but he is so darn on target wise.

hope all is well with you, 8 xoxoxoxox0
