1. Pressing my nose against my bedroom window, watching a bird build it's nest in the bush just outside.
2. Having a cat on each side of me watching the same thing.
3. My mother's Swedish lucky horse. Now mine.
4. A lazy, do nothing weekend.
5. Friends who make me laugh, even on my dark days.
Gratitude is such a good antidote for depression. Laughter is even better.
ReplyDeleteYou are in my daily prayers.
I hope that horse works. You could use some lucky vibes.
ReplyDeleteWhoa. My mother had a pair of Dala horses! And at one point she painted wooden Christmas tree ornaments, some orange, some blue, in the Dala horse design! I just went to Solvang, CA (modeled on a Scandinavian village) a couple of weeks ago and bought two little tiny orange ones, as they remind me of my mother. How cool to see them here!
ReplyDeleteAnd how lovely to be able to watch a bird build it's nest. I'm keeping an eye on the swallow's nest here to see if they'll return and have more babies this year. Fingers crossed.
Em - I have a couple Dala horses given to me when I moved to new homes. The one in the picture was my great grandmother's, my grandmother brought it to America, and then pased to my mother. I am thrilled to have it in my home for awhile.
ReplyDeleteWow. That's a true treasure. It's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAs usual, your gratitudes remind me to take notice of the little things that bring joy. Thank you for sharing these.
