Full of Grace

  • Enjoying a book so much I started to read slower just because I didn't want it to end

  • Meeting some incredibly strong and very positive people in my Livestrong cancer survivors’ class.  Some of these people have had very recent surgery, are currently going through radiation and chemo and still come to exercise as much as they are able and be support to someone else.

  • The maple sap is flowing.  It does amaze me that the earth continues to give us such heavenly things as maple syrup when we have done so much damage to her.

  • Feeling very fortunate to have a grand historic theater near us where we get to enjoy touring Broadway shows.

  • Basement plants are mostly thriving and giving me great joy watching them grow, although I fear with temperatures still in the 20s they may not ever see real sunshine.

  1. Stepping around, "still in the 20s" to the good books, Broadway shows, strong folks, and mmmm maple syrup, as well as, the mysteries and resilience of mother earth. Except for the 20s, all the YaYs

    1. Today we almost hit 40! of course, it's still below freezing at night. Slowly, slowly getting there.

    2. Here too. Today it is supposed to hit 50. But cloudy with drizzle, rain. I now have a Three Stooges bit in my head, "slowly I turn, step by step..." And because it is the Stooges, bop.

  2. Your plants are a refreshing reminder of Spring, may it happen soon.

Are you going to share what books and shows are giving you so much pleasure?

    1. I just finished "The Thirteen Tale" by Diane Setterfield. A disturbing beginning but then I was hooked. And we saw "Peter and the Starcatcher" which was different but very entertaining. We are very excited about next year's subscription which will include A Gentlemans Guide to Love and Murder, Once, Lion King, Matilda, Cinderella, and Motown. Much to look forward to . . . especially Spring.

  3. Good books are like that - you want to take it all in and you want it to slow down - all at once...
We had a couple of inches of snow yesterday and today a thunderstorm that had the dogs hiding by my legs! Seeing signs of green - so that is a good thing!

  5. Wonderful. And now I want to find somewhere that's harvesting maple syrup. I'd like to see it.

    1. The past two weekends have been maple festivals all over New York and you can tour the systems and they all have pancake breakfasts. It's an amazing thing but I'm not sure how long the season lasts.

    1. There is a flat of different kinds of greens. The flowers are all doing great, but I'm not sure the veggies are going to make it. If not, I'll buy some to plant once planting seasons comes. At this rate, it might be August.
