Seeking Peace

I can imagine no place on earth more peaceful than a lake in the mountains. In these times of unfathomable violence, how fortunate I am to have such a place to retreat to, in the company of others who seek to live without hurting others. This is where I will be for the weekend, praying that all who are suffering may know healing and peace, wherever they may be.

  4. Lovely. Both the setting and the practice.

  5. My peaceful place is an old sugar plantation just outside of New Orleans on Lake Pontchartrain. Ah...wish I were there. Right now.

  6. I have a 'water meditation' where I picture a place that brings me to peace. It's an actual place, but it doesn't have to be. It could be an imaginary place just as well. But, my peaceful visual is a stream flowing through a meadow, high up in the mountains. There is a lake nearby, but the stream is the place for me.
