Full of Grace

1.  That Peachie's best friend came through her surgery with the hope of a long, but successful recovery.

2.  That Peachie, going nuts with worry, went to the ICU shortly after the surgery, said she was C's girlfriend, and was let in.   They thought she was C's girlfriend as in "partner."  And this in a Catholic hospital!   That is still making me laugh.

3.  That we got Martha's boat in the water with a minimum amount of cursing.  And it started up on the first try.   Miracles - they do happen.

4. That this is my Sunday mornings cathedral.

5.  That today, 20 years ago, Peachie was born and has been a joyous and loving light in my life ever since.

  1. Happy birthday, Peachie!

I'm sure her best present was seeing her friend recuperating.

Happy birthday to Peachie, first and foremost. And in a first and foremost tie: I am very glad her friend got through that well. Very, very.

I've actually had that mistaken identity thing happen in a hospital ... with a friend's mother, in San Francisco, though. The staff thought we were partners and treated me that way. It was ... rather cool, actually.

Ah. Boats in water. I know that one soooo well.

    We have similar cathedrals. :)

Um, that the friend & I were partners. Not the friend's mother. That would have been an extreme May/December thing.

  3. Isn't it nice to breathe a sigh of relief occasionally? Very happy for all involved. And Happy Birthday Peachie!!!

Love, love, love it that your daughter would sneak in as a partner! She's got some lesbo cred, for sure! And the right to do so!

Congrats on the boat thing. You boat people...

    1. Not "you" boat people. It's Martha's motor boat. The old beater she sink hundreds into every year and hardly ever takes out. I have a canoe and a kayak. No muss, no fuss, no expense, no cursing. And they start up every time.
