Full of Grace

1.  My bike, back from the shop, all tuned up and ready to roll.

2.  Watching Beanie dance at a charity dance recital and still being able to envision her as a 3 year old when she first began lessons.

3.  Being on a college campus for 4/20.  Oh to be young . . .

4.  Daffodils.  Finally!  This has been a long winter here in the northeast (nighttime temps are still below freezing.)  The daffodils are the first flowers in my garden to bloom and mark the beginning of always having fresh cut flowers in the house.

5.  A live cam of a red tailed hawk nest where there are fledgings currently hatching.   This site has been mildly distracting me for weeks but the babies now have me permanently hooked.  If you catch it while they are feeding, kiss any productivity goodbye.

  1. The weather should cooperate for a nice bike ride this weekend.

I had to look up the reference to 4/20. I am officially old.

Mama is very protective of those babies, I've only seen them once. I did see the male hawk deliver a mouse for dinner last night. They truly are magnificient birds.

    1. Martha has my weekend quite scheduled redoing the kitchen floor at the lake. Feel free to bike up and help.

You are old. But your return to college campuses is just around the corner. It is an eye opener : )

I am thankful I missed the mouse and the starling kill. I just like the cute babies.

    1. I have it minimized on my computer so I can keep an eye on it. There are 2 babies and one egg. You don't get to see them very often, but it is worth the wait - especially feeding time. So damn cute.

  3. Let's see a picture of your bike! I just started riding to work again and it feels so good! And, Spring! Yay! We've had daffodils and the tulips are going like gangbusters right now!

I'm all about the exclamation points today! Must be because the sun is shining!!!

    xoxo!!!

    1. I shall post you a picture next week.

I would ride to work but it would only take three turns of the pedal and I'm there : ) But I do enjoy the walk.

  4. Your Full of Grace posts make me believe that you already see the miracle of a single flower clearly.

    1. I'm not sure that's true but it is what I strive for - to stay connected to the energy of love and beauty in creation. I often fail but it is the direction I try to face.

  5. Love all of these (well, except 4/20 - I have no patience for any of that, but don't begrudge those who do...).

My daffodils are blooming too and it's such a wonderful sight! Especially after this cold, dark winter that seemed so much longer given the past couple that were so mild.

    1. I just laugh when my daughters seem to think that their generation invented weed.

Spring is late - but oh so welcome.

  6. I saw some daffodils for the first time on my way home from work tonight, but confess to being worried sick about them. It only got up to 39 degrees today! My trees are barely budding...

    1. We are having the same problem. Which, I suppose is why Spring is so welcome when it finally arrives ... so much anticipation!
